Cali Trip- Oakland/Marina

A few days after getting back from Port A, we hopped on a plane to California. Beth decided to get married in California. Since we had to go for the wedding, we decided to just fly out early and make a vacation out of it.

We flew into Oakland because it was cheaper than Sacramento and was a short drive to lots of fun tourist stops! Our first stop was to the Oakland temple. Sadly, Russell was pretty tired and grumpy from waking up so early to get to the airport, we weren't able to stay too long.

For lunch we ate at Fentons. It was Robins favorite place to eat in that area. It did not disappoint! And man, so much ice cream!!

Next we drove to see some redwood trees and enjoy the wonderful California weather. We could have walked around for hours... if Russell wasn't completely exhausted and hadn't pooped halfway through our walk.

The first hotel we stayed at was not the nicest, but it was basically right on the beach! It was cold, so we didn't break out our swimsuits, but we had to go play!
