DW Day 6- Magic Kingdom/ Mickey's Halloween Party

For our last day we headed back to Magic Kingdom. We had an early morning reservation for breakfast at the Beauty & Beast castle. We were able to get in the park before it opened and beat the crowds at the entrance, plus a delicious breakfast in a really awesome environment!

The ultimate cheeser face!

There was an awesome play area by the exit to Splash Mountain. Russell has lots of fun playing in there with all the random kids waiting for parents. He spent lots of time there because Stephen and I love Splash Mountain. It is my favorite ride! I was able to ride it twice during our trip and Stephen went three times. It was the only ride that Russell could not go on that we both went on more than once.

Exploring more areas while Dad was on a ride.

We knew that on our last day we needed to find Buzz for Russell to talk pictures with. Buzz is definitely one of his favorite characters. The only bummer was the line was outside with zero shade, so it made for a long wait. It was worth it in the end when he got to meet Buzz and chat with him about the buttons on his space ship.

We just spent a little while in the morning at the park before heading back to our resort for Russell to take a nap. We were going to have a late night because we had a special ticket to attend Mickey's Halloween party that evening. We also had to change into our party outfits... Darth Vader and his Troopers!

Our first stop was to meet characters that were only seen at the special events- Jack the Pumpkin King and Sally! We were not the only ones with that idea and we had to wait in the longest line of our whole trip! Luckily Russell was very well behaved and didn't mind waiting at all!

Just like all the characters, he was so excited to go see then and would just chat excitedly about them up until the moment he actually met them, then silence. After meeting them and walking away he would immediately start talking about the characters again. Silly guy. He was star struck!

The Halloween parade is one of the best parades I've ever seen! It started off with the headless horseman riding his horse down the street and just got better from there. Plus who doesn't love getting to see all the Disney villains?!

Russell met Jafar... nighttime made getting a good picture difficult. No words were spoken between them haha

There was a fantastic Halloween show with the Sanderson sisters from Hocus Pocus summoning help from all the Disney villains to cast a spell. The actresses playing the sisters were spot on with the movie. It was really amazing to watch.

Russell ended the night and our trip with a nice spider cupcake while we watched the Halloween fireworks.

Late night getting back to the resort, but we couldn't have asked for a better last day!

DW Day5- Epcot

Oh Epcot... There are two parts to the park, Future world and world showcase. I'm a big fan of the future world part, but could pass on the other. Not that kid friendly and like zero shade!

Lots of Mickey and friends met and greets!

Can't remember where this was taken, but Russell was entranced by something

Mexico Donald!

Troll outside of the new Frozen ride, which was GREAT. Definitely a must fast-pass though!

Playing some energy game...

Turtle Talk with Crush.. I was shocked Russell went and sat with strange kids... like I said, conquering his social anxieties.  He did great until he started playing with the girl next to him instead of paying attention.

Names Bruce

Why trust a shark, right?

They had an awesome aquarium with turtles, sharks, dolphins, etc. It was neat. I could have stayed there for a long time.

Russell's got the whole moon in his hands!

Took a nap to avoid the heat while we walked around world showcase... pretty boring for a little one

We got to taste different sodas from around the world and they had the one that my dad drank on his mission! It wasn't too bad. Russell did not like it though

It was still a fun day, just wish we would have had a cooler day while we walked around the different countries. Maybe I would have enjoyed it more.

DW Day 4- Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom was way better than I thought it was going to be. Definitely my second favorite of Disney World parks! It's like a zoo on Disney steroids...

Our first stop was the safari ride. So amazing! You were in a little truck and right next to all the animals. You rarely saw any wires/ fences and it seemed like the animals could just hop in the truck with us. There was so much for Russell to soak in!

After the safari we walked around the gorilla trail and looked at even more animals!

Fish! No Nemo or Dory though

Russell and his giant leaf

Meeting Russell and Dug... the same name thing was fun, but a little confusing for our Russell

He got his first Wilderness Explorer badge!

We watched the show twice... The second time he decided
he was scared and wouldn't wear the glasses... Silly guy

He mastered the 'cheese face' on this trip

The Nemo musical was very cute and kept his attention the whole time, unlike the Lion King celebration we watched later that day

He got to ride on a choo-choo train!

Russell found his animal soul mate here. He stayed in that hug for a long time. There was no line so he just got to stay there and feel the love. It was really sweet!

Love this little animal lover!
