December Fun

December is always full of lots of fun family activities. This year we stayed in Texas to spend the holiday with all the Kofords. Everyone came into town for a while, so Russell had lots of time with Aunts and Uncles!

We got to visit with Santa!

And see some of his reindeer

Checked out lots of Christmas lights

Russell introduced everyone to the joy of
playing trains and building fun tracks

Russell got lots of cuddles!

We hosted a gingerbread building party at our house
one night for the family:

Our creations all turned out great... Russell asked to eat them for days!

Zoey and Russell partied together a bunch!

Russell helped us sing 'Mr. Grinch' for the family karaoke night

Russell was a great backup dancer!

After a lunch at 'Hugs Cafe,' Russell scored some free
toys from the Star Wars store by being cute

Traditional Koford family selfie

We went to look at a cool collection of nativities... Russell liked the car one!

Watched a live nativity and Russell sang along to Silent Night proudly!

Russell got to open a Christmas book every night.
We read lots and lots of fun books!

The few times it was actually cold we put on a fire and roasted
marshmallows to enjoy!

Bath tub Santa

Russell got to see his first Star Wars movie in theaters...
he did pretty good considering it was long and there was no singing!

December weather was so mild we got to spend lots of time
playing outside!!

Christmas Day

The stocking were placed on the couch with care!

Christmas Morning!
Poor guy had to be woken up so we'd have time
for all the fun before getting ready for church

Traditional Christmas morning picture!

Zoey even joined in!

Investigating his stocking

A giant trooper came to protect the presents

Happily finishing off the cookies that Santa couldn't eat

Every present had to be opened and played with immediately

Checking out Mom's Disney piano book

Pre-church play time

Two handsome guys ready for church!

After church we packed things up and headed to Kofords to join in the fun. They were nice enough to wait for us to get out of our ward so we didn't have to wake up super early to be at their ward at 9am. We were so busy that I took barely any pictures the rest of the day!

Koford Family Reunion trip to Disney this year! Woohoo!

This is Halloween

Having to continue the legacy of family Halloween costumes started by Megan, we had to find another theme that Stephen and I could both agree on. It was much easier than last year and he agreed with my first suggestion of Pixar's Up.

Obviously Russell got to be Russell! He was so adorable in his outfit. Everyone LOVED his costume, even though most thought he was just a boy scout.

Russell really loved this whole trick or treating concept and is up to his ears in candy!

After a successful trunk or treating at our ward party...

At the library after trick or treating in the offices at town hall

Now it is time for the real deal!

Needless to say, he got it down, except for the whole saying 'trick or treat' thing. Next year you'll get it Buddy!

Small children and dogs don't cooperate for pictures... Also it is impossible to find white hair color on Halloween day. All those resulted in sub-par pictures of our costumes this year... Oh well!
