C is for Cookie

We opened a few presents on Russell's birthday, but saved most for his birthday party that weekend.

He LOVED his birthday cards and carried them around for days

Russell was lucky to have so many family members able to come to his birthday. Brian, Kenna, Adleigh and Breydon even came early and stayed the night to make it a party weekend. Courtney and Trenton were even able to come up from Austin! We were also lucky to have a neighborhood activity earlier that day, so it was really a party day!

Giving some love to the baby piggy... I'm kind of sad we
didn't get him on a horse like Adleigh, but there's always next year!

Of course his party could only have one theme- Cookie Monster!! He really is our cookie monster.
Lots of cookies to sample!

Photo collage to see how he has grown

We had to keep with the trend and have a smash cake for Russell:
"Why are you singing to me?"

"Mom? What are you bringing me?"

"Oooo, fire!"

"Can I touch it?"

"Now I can touch it?!"

"Interesting!"

"Yay! I'm ONE!"

"I'm going to eat Cookie's face."

"This is so much fun"

WE HAVE A ONE YEAR OLD!

Well it finally happened... our baby is now a big one year old! It was the fastest, slowest year ever! He is such a great little guy though. He just seems to get more and more fun every day.

At 1 year he is:
17lbs 13.5 oz- 6th percentile
29.25 inches- 27th percentile
Head is 18.75 inches- 90th percentile
A jump up in the percentiles this time! Woohoo!

He has 4 teeth and working on 5 and 6 (will have 4 on top and 2 on bottom)
Sleeping 11-12 straight at night still!!!
Cruising on furniture and working on standing up without help
Opening cupboards and making messes
Pointing at everything and asking "pssatt?"
Still loves cookies, books, water, and being outside

His big milestone for the month was moving from nursing to drinking chocolate milk. He loves it! He chugs the milk down. Could be a factor in his weight gain too! We are all happy with this change and Dad likes being about to give Russell his bottle before bed.

Now for the photo explosion:

Paper is delicious! I love being able to
put things in my mouth

Found some friends at Walmart to hang out with

Loves his Star Wars ships and making them fly

Russell joined the dark side- they have cookies

Loves climbing the stairs!

Mmm Chocolate Milk!!
