Weekly story time at the library ends in reading
some I Spy books... I Spy Nemo is awesome!
Working on his cat-like skills... you have to
be able to fit into any sized box.
Happy Birthday to Daddy! Russell was extra helpful
this year. He opened all the presents, claimed them for
himself, and even blew out the candles! He did sing
a beautiful rendition of 'Happy Birthday!'
Had our first visit to the Little Elm beach. There
was a slight breeze, so it was a little chilly coming
out of the water. He looks adorable in his towel.
Trying on Daddy's new goggles.
Taking a ride down the neighborhood... it's
starting to get too hot for long rides already.
The rec center had a touch-a-truck event. We thought
Russell would be in heaven getting to 'drive' all the
construction truck and emergency vehicles, but he was
kind of intimidated by how big they were and how loud
their horns were that were constantly being honked.
His favorite was being about to go inside an ambulance
and driving the big fire truck! Inside the rec center were
a ton of booths and Russell scored lots of free stuff- candy,
pencils, and toys!
We swung by the beach after the seeing
the trucks. It was really windy, but Russell
loved swimming with Daddy.
We actually got some peas from our garden
this year! The heat is starting to get to the plants
already, so we may not get much more.
Russell went outside and started feeding
Nerds candy to the ants. He said they were
his family and he loved them.
Testing out the new ice cream vending machines
at the pool... too expensive to make it a habit though.
Started swimming lessons started at the end
of May. Russell did pretty great for his first
time in lessons. He had a bit of a hard time staying
on the steps and waiting for his turn to swim with
the teachers. He just wanted to be in the water the
whole time.
