Solo Family Halloween

Pretty sure Stephen has wanted to dress up as Star Wars characters every single Halloween. I have resisted because everyone and their mom does it. But with Russell's growing love for Kylo Ren, I knew it would be an easier costume that he could love to wear. Then it was easily decided that we should be his loving parents, Leia and Han. We definitely had to throw costumes together with the craziness of the month, but they turned out decent. We were kind of sad that our ward trunk or treat was Halloween night, so we didn't get to get lots of use out of our costumes. We did attend a Halloween party with friends so Leia and Han got to go. Russell went trick or treating at town hall Halloween morning, so he got some extra Kylo time too!

BB-8 and Kylo

Went out for 'scary pancakes' after leaving town hall

We also participated in our family pumpkin carving contest. We chose the theme this year! It was Monsters.

Pumpkin Patch

With our trip to Disney mid-October, we found ourselves running short on time in October. We really wanted to get back to the pumpkin patch we loved last year. There were only a few days left in the month, so we had to go that weekend. Unfortunately it was the coldest weather we'd had in fall. We stayed as long as we could, but when the rain started, we left. Russell was a little sad that we couldn't spend more time on the different pumps. We got the important things done like looking at all the characters, picking a pumpkin, and going on the hayride.

Kofords Take Disney World Part 3

Day 4- Hollywood Studio/ Halloween Party

Right now there aren't many rides that Russell
can do on at Hollywood. So we got to spend more
time meeting characters. When Toy Story and
Star Wars lands open, it will have more to do for
little ones.

For the Halloween party, we went with the theme of
Pixar movies. Our family was from Wall-E. We have
little Wall-E, EVE, and Dadd-E. People were pretty
freaked out when they noticed the cockroach on his hat.

Day 5- Animal Kingdom/ Cinderella's Castle

Animal Kingdom is the best! So many people
overlook it, thinking it is just a zoo or something.
The safari is AMAZING, and a must see in the
morning. Pandora was new for us, and it was beautiful
with some great new rides. We always need more time
to see everything.

Russell was the last kid to take pictures before
other Russell went on break. They got to walk down
the street together for a long time. It was neat.

Our last sit down meal was the fanciest of them
all, up in the castle. You got to meet many of the
princesses. Cinderella was smitten with Russell.
I think it was a mutual love... so cute.

The guys wore Mickey ears- for this picture only. Haha

People always wanted to know how Russell did, and if
we took him back to the room for naps. Russell does NOT
nap if there is something better going on. He was a champ, but
we definitely pushed him to the limits... (especially with
all the sit down meals.) Only after long Disney days can
you see the following... Enjoy
