Cali Trip- Trains!

Our last day in California was just the three of us again. Everyone else had earlier flights. We had lots of time to kill before we had to be back in Oakland for our evening flight. We found this really cool train museum in Sacramento. Russell was in train heaven. They even had a whole upstairs section with Thomas the Train play sets for all the kids to play with. It was a very cool way to end our trip!

A little shop outside the museum had tiny doughnuts!

Clearly they were delicious!

Russell got to pick out his own train to take home!

Signs of a successful vacation
(note to self- bring pot-a-crib to Cali next time. Cheap hotels there
don't have them, which complicates your life)

Cali Trip- Nevada City

My dad found this amazing cabin near the wedding reception for all of us to stay in. It was awesome and in the most beautiful area. Sadly because of all the problems with the flights, there was zero time to really enjoy the place. I would have loved to do some hiking around the cabin! We tried to make the most of the hours we had together before everyone had to start heading home. Time with family is always too short!

Matching jammies that they all still fit into from
almost a year ago!

So hard to get tiny people to cooperate for pictures

Russell slept like a stinker and finally fell back
asleep in the middle of our bed

Group shot outside the cabin!!

Miss everyone! Wish we all lived closer so we could party together more often.

Cali Trip- Beth Gets Married

As fun as going to California was, the only reason we came was for the Bubba to get married. Despite lots of people trying to convince to get married in Utah or Arizona, she stayed strong and chose the Sacramento temple. It was very surreal to see Beth get married. She is forever stuck at age 17 in my head. Her and BrYan seem like a perfect match and we were happy to be able to be there for them.

It was a sunny 97 degrees outside with slight humidity (unless you ask my dad, he would say terrible humidity haha). Which made for a not so pleasant environment to take pictures in. Luckily the hired a fantastic photographer and he was able to get some great pictures. We wont mention how Russell was taking me and my mom for a stroll when Beth and Bryan came out of the temple... and we weren't the only ones to miss it. Ooops.

After the sealing, we got to take Megan to the church where the reception was going to be so she could quickly decorate the cake. Even with a few bumps in the way, (butter left at the cabin, cake needing to be cut to a different size) Megan was able to make a pretty impressive cake. Just don't ask her about it, because apparently it was lopsided or something ;)

Then we got to enjoy the reception which was outside the church. This church has amazing grounds, like a whole campsite attached to it. Seriously amazing!

Truck wars with Breydon!

My favorite picture from the whole day!

Thank for getting married Bubba!
