While most of my family was stressing out trying to find a new flight to get to California (thanks a lot Southwest!) We started our drive towards Sacramento. We knew Russell would need a break during the drive and since we weren't in a rush, especially since now no one would be around, we made a pit stop at the Jelly Belly factory. Don't let the pictures fool you, Russell hated wearing the hat. It is required to have one on during the tour and it was a fight to keep it on his head. Sadly, the factory was no fully operational when we were there. We still go to walk around, but none of the machines were going. Russell did like seeing the forklifts that they had driving around moving some of the boxes. His favorite part, by far, was driving the Jelly Belly car. A close second was the free Jelly Belly samples given to everyone. He is now a jelly bean addict.
It was much more fun than sitting at airports or diving for hours like the rest of my family was doing. Sorry guys! Wish you had been partying with us instead. We did get to meet up with my dad and his parents for dinner quickly before they headed up to the cabin. And we ate at Costa Vida, double lucky!!
Russell must have inherited hat hating from his mother ;)
