Once Upon A Time- Disney World

I love Disney, who doesn't! As a Disney lover I've always wanted to go to Disney World. I'v been to Disneyland numerous times, but was ready to experience the big brother park/s! We figured that we would never be able to do it cheaper than when Russell was free to fly and get in the park, which meant before his 2nd birthday. So on September 6th we flew to Florida and started our Disney dream vacation with Russell buddy!

We had a paper chain countdown to get Russell excited and a present to open when he threw the last one away...

Inside the present was a Mickey candy dispenser and a Disney shirt for each of us.

On the plane ready to go!

First of many 'school bus' rides we took during our trip

Someone could handle the early morning
and all the excitement and fell asleep on the bus

We stayed at the Pop Century resort in the 90's section. We spent a lot of time just walking around and looking at all the fun things they had around the resort. Disney makes even their cheap resorts look amazing!

Our resort had a bridge that connected to another resort that I knew he needed to visit. We would have loved to stay there if the budget had allowed. They have sections for Lion King, Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, and Cars. The place was huge! We walked through part of the Nemo section and, no surprise, spent most of the time in the Cars section. It was like a dream come true for Russell getting to see all the characters in their life-sized glory.

It was really awesome. Next time we will need to look at the Lion King and Little Mermaid sections, and maybe even save up to stay at the resort.

Then we set off to visit Disney Springs, Florida's version of Downtown Disney. Russell got his First Visit button and was very attached to it! There were some pretty cool shops, but the best were definitely the main Disney shop and the Lego store.

Russell also picked out his first souvenirs... Disney cars!
