Easter!

Easter came so early this year! It really snuck up on me... I think the house was decorated only the week before. It is such a fun time of year. I was excited because Russell was old enough to kind of understand some things better.

We started off with a little egg hunt with some friends from the ward. He did a pretty good job. He was pretty sure they were balls, and had no idea there was candy in them. I'm sure he will have that figured out next year!

He would have been a pro at a rock hunt!

The next event was the neighborhood Eggstravaganza. They had a egg hunt for the 0-3 year olds. It was pure chaos. I ran Russell to the middle as soon as it started to avoid being trampled. He just wanted to through the eggs. He probably knew the were all just filled with tootsy rolls. They also had a petting zoo. It was super crowded in there. We kind of feared for the animals safety. Russell just sat outside the fence and looked in at the animals. He was pretty content to just play in the dirt and check out the animals.

Then came the big day! We had a great time at church (Russell's last Sunday hanging out with Dad in the halls). We headed over to Papa and G.Bears's house to join the celebration. Courtney, Trenton, and Chad (Trenton's brother) were in town. They had another egg hunt for Russell. This time he was more interested in pointed out all the leaves he saw outside...  We started the rolling the eggs toward him to try and get him to pick them up. Silly boy! Then we got to search for our Easter baskets and eat some delicious dinner! It was a great day with family.

He definitely knew there was candy in his basket!

It was a fun weekend! We wore out the children!
