Random January

Once upon a January, we had a monkey who liked to escape his crib. 

He would fall and land on the floor with a big thump...

Before he ended up breaking his arm or banging his 

head on his bookshelf, he got upgraded to a toddler bed!

Oh the freedom of being able to easily escape your bed... 

made for some long days with skipped naps!

Coloring is so fun! Poking holes in the paper- even better!

Russell locked Zoey in her kennel because he wanted 

to leave the house and go swimming... in the cold weather...

Texas Snow Day

Once every two years it seems, Texas gets some snow. This year was one pitiful sprinkling. Sadly not even enough for Russell to build a snowman, but we had to go out and enjoy! Russell and Zoey did not know what to think of the snow at first. Then Zoey discovered it was like a ground full of delicious ice and she was happy!

Russell was cold and unimpressed when

 the first flakes started coming down

Once there was more on the ground, and I found his 

gloves, he was ready to check it out again.

Snow wont stop him from mowing the lawn!

Daddy got to come home early and play too!

December Fun

December is always full of lots of fun family activities. This year we stayed in Texas to spend the holiday with all the Kofords. Everyone came into town for a while, so Russell had lots of time with Aunts and Uncles!

Russell introduced everyone to the joy of

We hosted a gingerbread building party at our house 

one night for the family:

Our creations all turned out great... Russell asked to eat them for days!

Zoey and Russell partied together a bunch!

Russell helped us sing 'Mr. Grinch' for the family karaoke night

Russell was a great backup dancer!

After a lunch at 'Hugs Cafe,' Russell scored some free

toys from the Star Wars store by being cute

We went to look at a cool collection of nativities... Russell liked the car one!

Watched a live nativity and Russell sang along to Silent Night proudly!

Russell got to open a Christmas book every night. 

We read lots and lots of fun books!

The few times it was actually cold we put on a fire and roasted

marshmallows to enjoy!

Russell got to see his first Star Wars movie in theaters...

he did pretty good considering it was long and there was no singing!

December weather was so mild we got to spend lots of time 

playing outside!!

Christmas Day

After church we packed things up and headed to Kofords to join in the fun. They were nice enough to wait for us to get out of our ward so we didn't have to wake up super early to be at their ward at 9am. We were so busy that I took barely any pictures the rest of the day!
